Optical LAN for enterprise connectivity
Optical LAN is better network infrastructure that is far more powerful and at a fraction of the complexity, space, energy & cost of a traditional copper-based LAN. It´s the innovative application of PON technology (GPON, XGS-PON and 25G PON) within the enterprise environment. It involves a single centralized active element, the OLT, a passive and simple fiber optic cabling, all the way to the end-points like CCTV camera, Wi-Fi AP, door access, HSI, building management, infotainment, way-finding displays, etc. and thin-client edge devices, the ONTs, that provide connectivity to the end-points.
